Removing Content From Loveit.com

Loveit.com does not at this time have an online DMCA complaint form, nor does it have any publicly accessible information available on how to have material removed, and who to lodge a complaint with.

After some sleuthing, below are the email addresses of the people you need to contact at Amazon's cloud service:
neteng-edge@amazon.com
robertke@amazon.com
tysonl@amazon.com
With these, you'll get through.

Now, for formatting:
Hi,

Please remove these images from your servers:
http://xxxxx.cloudfront.net/size_578xH/xxxxx
http://xxxxx.cloudfront.net/size_220xH/xxxxx

And all associated versions that you keep in other sizes.

These images are displayed here:
http://loveit.com/loves/xxxxx

They are from my website:
http://mywebsite.com/mywebpage.html

I state UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY that:

I have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use).

I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright or of an exclusive right under the copyright that is allegedly infringed.

This information is accurate.

WRITE in your name
NOTE: I have found so far images are in two formats:
http://xxxxx.cloudfront.net/size_578xH/xxxxx
http://xxxxx.cloudfront.net/size_220xH/xxxxx

Make sure to mention both these formats in your take-down notice.

I have this as a loveit DMCA form, does it not work? http://loveit.com/about/copyright I have not used it so don't know.

Thanks Cindy, I don't know if I'm dreaming, but there doesn't seem to be a link to it on their menu bar anymore.

I didn't see a link to any terms, etc, on their home page, either, and unless I'm mistaken, (which is quite possible), in order to have safe harbor protection under the DMCA, a site host has to have a DMCA process, page, contact or something. If they have nothing, or hide it from the public, then it seems deceptive on their part, and risky for them, too. But, I never could get the page to load entirely, as it had so many images on it. So it is possible that one only finds it by signing up, or getting off that home page and it's endless attempt to load all those images. I dunno. Anyway there is a DMCA page, whether they make it easy to find, is another thing.

This is the link to the DMCA form.
If you go to the link for the DMCA form, there is a menu on the right sidebar that give access to contact and terms of service, etc.
Here's a link to the infringement policy: http://loveit.com/about/infringement

I just sent and email to Loveit support to request code to embed in my websites to prevent the 'love' from spreading to my images. (sort of like the no-pin code for Pinterest) I will let you know what response I get.
And for all you Worpress geeks out there...we will need a "no-love" widget, ASAP. I think a cute name for the Widget would be 'Condom'.

I received prompt and helpful response from LoveIt when I had difficulty installing a "nolove" code into my Google Blogger blog. The 'code' that they offer on their 'About' page lacked a "/" that Google Blogger required. When I initially inserted the code on my Blogger blog, I received and 'error' message. I emailed LoveIt with the problem, and their head engineer suggested the "/" be added to the code. Since I did that, the code works on Blogger blogs to prevent "love". Now I need a 'block-the-love' plugin for Wordpress

If they are hosted by amazon, as pinterest is too, I've used copyright@amazon.com before, but so far not with loveit. Loveit has not yet come up on my reverse image searches, but for months neither did pinterest. I would certainly send a takedown to loveit if they have the same reasons to be concerned as pinterest does. So many clones, now a new one, ArtStack, with terms that say they may sell the images.
